Timothy R. Costello, Major Metro District Manager, South Florida District, will be detailed to Acting Vice President, Sales.  Sharon Owens will be returning to her position as Vice President, Pricing and Costing after assisting in Tim’s transition. Sharon infused the sales team with her pricing and costing expertise as well as her industry knowledge and competitive insights. Steve Phelps, who served as Acting, Vice President, Pricing and Costing, will return to his position as Manager, Regulatory Reporting and Cost Analysis.  During his detail, he led a number of critical projects including the development and approval of the Market Dominant and Competitive price filings and the development of self-declared rates and related regulatory filings and contingencies associated with the potential exit from the Universal Postal Union.

Tim has held a succession of executive leadership roles as District Manager of the Alabama and Dallas districts in Southern Area, and Area Manager of Delivery Programs Support in Eastern Area.  He has also served as Manager, Operations Programs Support for the Atlanta and Mississippi districts.  Tim has contributed his expertise on the National Performance Assessment and World Class Package Platform headquarters teams.

Tim completed studies in Business Administration and Management at Mississippi State University.  He furthered his development through the Executive Foundations and Advanced Leadership programs.  Tim also earned Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Villanova University, as well as being USPS Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified.
